Autocar, a US maker of Class 7 and 8 severe-duty trucks, recently delivered its 10,000th terminal tractor, an all-electric model E-ACTT, to Lazer Logistics, a US yard-management visitor that operates over 1,800 units at 500 sites wideness North America.
“We need zero-emissions terminal tractors, but we don’t want to compromise performance, durability, cab familiarity or suburbanite comfort,” said Lazer Logistics CEO Adam Newsome. “With Autocar’s EV yard truck, we can segregate emissions compliance without compromise. Our drivers are at home in Autocar’s terminal tractor cab layout, whether they are in an internal combustion ACTT or the EV version.”
According to Mark Aubry, President of Autocar’s Terminal Tractor Division, “The EV terminal tractor shares 85% parts commonality with Autocar’s diesel-powered ACTT. They’re easy to integrate into overall squadron operations and wastefulness our customers’ emissions requirements.”
